Mission
Insight Power Institute is dedicated to advancing transformational development education for adults — from emerging leaders and mid-career professionals to senior executives, retirees, and those navigating purposeful life transitions.
As a private operating foundation, we directly design and deliver our own programs rather than making grants to others. Our work helps people grow in the complexity of their thinking, their self-awareness, and their capacity to navigate the challenges of organizational, community, and personal life at every stage.
Our Approach
Vertical growth, not just more information.
We believe adults can keep growing in depth and capacity throughout their lives. Most education adds knowledge and skills — horizontal growth. Our focus is vertical growth: the deeper development of how a person sees, makes meaning, decides, and leads. Our programs are designed not merely to add new skills, but to support a genuine shift in how adults think and act in a complex world.
This is a research-based discipline. Our approach draws on the foundational work of leading adult-development scholars — including Robert Kegan, Bill Torbert, Susanne Cook-Greuter, Pam McLean, Nick Petrie, and Jennifer Garvey Berger — and translates it into practical programs for leaders and learners at every stage. Underneath every program sits our RISC framework.

At the center of everything we do is the Insight Power Learning Community — an ongoing learning environment that intentionally brings together diverse adults across industries, career stages, and life experiences.
Participants build on their own experience and knowledge while learning from one another in a safe, thought-provoking, co-creation environment, where individual growth is deepened by the collective wisdom of the group.
